After Labour’s better than expected result in June’s general election, many have speculated that the next election is Labour’s for the taking; all that is required, so the thinking goes, is “one last heave” to get Jeremy Corbyn into Number 10. But how accurate is this – and does Labour have to do much more than what this assumption implies in order to win a majority?
At Labour conference this year, an esteemed panel will be discussing this topic. Chaired by Iain Dale, the event will also hear from Chuka Umunna, Maurice Glasman, Helen Lewis from the New Statesman, and Nick Tyrone, author of a new book on this topic, “Apocalypse Delayed: Why the Left is Still in Trouble”.
The event will take place at 12:30 (lunchtime) on Sunday, September 24th in Hall 7 of the Hilton Metropole, Brighton. If you’re going to be at Labour conference, please join us.
