Louise is a climate change actuary and risk specialist with thirty years of experience in actuarial consulting, software development and academia, having worked with a variety of clients in the public and private sectors. She has practised as an independent consultant in the areas of software risk and sustainability and has worked on financial modelling for social security and pensions reform in a number of emerging economies. Particular interests include emerging risks, risks to cities, how insurers can support resilience to climate risks, and climate-related financial disclosures. Dr Pryor is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. She is Chair of the London Climate Change Partnership and a non-executive director of the Ecology Building Society.
